A Quarterly Newsletter for Concerned Pet Owners                                      Spring / Summer, 2008

FIRST: Get a thorough exam by your veterinarian to make sure that your pet has no health problems that would interfere with flying, or would flare-up during the trip.

SECOND: Pack an ample supply of any vitamins or medications that your pet takes routinely.  You should also pack a Pet First Aid Kit in case of an emergency.

THIRD: Check with one of the doctors to make sure that there are no diseases prevalent in the locale that you are traveling to.  Vaccination or preventive medication may be recommended.

FINALLY: If your pet is afraid of flying or tends towards car sickness or stress we can prescribe medication to help "ease the pain" of traveling.

DON'T WANT THE WORRY?

Then leave the 4-legged family members with us!  All of our boarding is doctor supervised.

We have remodeled our boarding area. We now offer larger, glass door (bar-less) dog suites, cat condos (separate from the dogs), a customized pet grooming salon and an enlarged, covered, secure outdoor pet exercise area.

In addition to this, we just completed Camp K-9.  These luxury suites are individual rooms that offer a private entrance, are separate from the kennels and come complete with windows, beds, TV's and web cameras. With an Internet connection, you can watch your pet from anywhere in the world while you're away.

TOURS of the new facility are available at any time.  Ask about our Frequent Guest Program!

From the
 Doctors Desk

Question:  My dog has arthritis and is chronically lame.  Medication has helped but is there anything else I can do to alleviate his pain?

Answer:
Stem cell therapy may just be what the doctor ordered. Stem cell therapy is a safe and effective way of treating osteoarthritis, soft tissue orthopedic injuries, and fracture repairs. It is a form of regenerative therapy that uses your own dog's fat to lessen the signs of arthritis.  We would encourage you to schedule a consultation with any of our doctors to see if this new therapy is right for your dog.
