"Pardon our Dust"

We are currently undergoing another facility remodeling project to make things better for your pet.

As we begin to celebrate our 40th year serving pet owners of South Orange Coun-ty, it is time to improve our pet hotel. We are completely gut-ting and reconstructing the boarding kennel and groo-ming parlor.

By summer we will have a larger, more modern dog facility, a new cat condominium room (separate from the dogs), improved pet grooming equipment (in a separate room) and an enlarged, secure pet exercise area.

Coming soon, we will also be adding luxury dog suites, com-plete with TV's, beds and Internet ac-cess cameras (so that you can watch your own pet while you are away).

Have your visited our
"Pet Care Center" lately?

We have products ranging from flea control to shampoo to vitamins. Also available are some unique items like:

1. A 700 page paperback book about
   "Vacationing With Your Pet".

2. The "Dog Bible, covering 250 breeds,
     careers, behavior, emergencies and more.

3. "DogGone Sounds", a music CD of soothing
music to calm your dog while you are away.
     It helps reduce separation anxiety.

4. "The Secret Sex Lives of Dogs & Cats", a cute
book written by our own Dr. Cruz

Annual Bake Sale Update

Our year-end bake sale was a charitable fundraising success! The sale of baked goods, home made crafts, silent auction baskets, Cookie Lee Jewelry and pet photos with Santa raised $2,000.

Dr. Acton matched this amount so that our charity account is now $4,000. The fund is available to help pet owners that are faced with medical expenses that they cannot afford.

Question:

Every night on the news we hear more and more about the "bird flu" and people dying. Is my dog or cat susceptible to this type of flu virus?

Answer:
No, our pet dogs and cats are not at risk. Despite the news reports, even people are rarely affected by this bird virus.
Those contracting the disease are primarily those that live in third world countries, work with sick birds or have them (chickens, ducks, ect.) in their homes.
